Willamette River Cleanup at Cathedral Park
Boat Launch Parking Lot - Cathedral Park

Join us for a summer cleanup along one of Portland’s most iconic riverfronts! Set beneath the beautiful arches of the St. Johns Bridge, the Willamette River Cleanup at Cathedral Park offers volunteers the chance to make a direct impact on our waterways during the height of summer activity.

You can choose your own adventure:

  • Stroll the scenic riverbank and help collect litter from shore
  • Or bring your kayak, paddleboard, or other non-motorized vessel to reach debris floating or stuck in hard-to-access areas from the water

This is the perfect way to give back to the river that gives us so much—especially after a season of festivals, picnics, and play in the park.

All cleanup supplies are provided. Just bring your energy, watercraft (if paddling), and a love for Oregon’s natural spaces.

Let’s leave Cathedral Park better than we found it—together.
