Metro is hosting the Willamette Cove Field Day on October 26, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cesar Chavez School 5103 N Willis Blvd, Portland, OR 97203.
The Field Day is a free community event with activities for kids and families.
There will be fun activities and opportunities to learn about the work being done to clean up Willamette Cove and the rest of the Portland Harbor Superfund Site. Attendees can see the designs for the future Willamette Cove nature park and share their thoughts on which they like best. Attendees will get to talk to the scientists from agencies working on the cleanups and meet the community organizations advocating for the river and North Portland neighborhoods.
The Willamette Cove Field Day is the best chance to learn why the Willamette River needs to be cleaned, who is working on it and how those cleanups will work.
Lunch will be provided to the first 200 attendees!
